Day-Wise Itinerary
Your spiritual Chardham yatra package starts in Rishikesh or Haridwar. After checking into your accommodation upon arrival, proceed to Har Ki Pauri to witness the renowned Ganga Aarti. Your spiritual journey begins with an evening full of chants, bells, and floating diyas. Spend the night in Haridwar or Rishikesh.
After breakfast, go to Barkot, the base town for the Yamunotri darshan, via the scenic Mussoorie hills. You'll see the Yamuna River and beautiful valleys along the way. Arrive at Barkot and spend the night there.
The first dham of the yatra, Maa Yamunotri Temple, is honoured today. To get to the shrine, drive to Janki Chatti and hike (5–6 km) or rent a pony or palanquin. Pray at Yamunotri Temple and take an ancestral bath in Surya Kund. In the evening, head back to Barkot for the night.
On day 4 after breakfast, proceed to the holy town of Uttarkashi, which is situated beside the Bhagirathi River. See the well-known Vishwanath Temple, which is devoted to Lord Shiva. Spend the night at Uttarkashi.
Arrive early at Gangotri Temple, one of the most revered shrines of the Goddess Ganga, which is 3,100 meters above sea level. A dip in the Bhagirathi River is recommended prior to darshan. The temple is surrounded by snow-capped hills and deodar trees, making the visit a very spiritual one. Arrive back in Uttarkashi at nightfall.
To get to Guptkashi or Sitapur, the starting point for the Kedarnath Yatra, drive along picturesque mountain roads. Take in the stunning Alaknanda and Mandakini river confluence while travelling. Rest after checking into your hotel.
Drive to Gaurikund in the morning to start your 16-kilometer hike, or take a pony, horse or helicopter to go to the revered Kedarnath Temple. Visit one of the twelve Jyotirlingas and offer prayers to Lord Shiva. Before spending the night in Kedarnath (if available) or returning to Guptkashi, take in the captivating evening Aarti there.
After attending morning prayers at Kedarnath, trek back to Gaurikund and return to Guptkashi/Sitapur. Evening free for relaxation.
Continue on to the last dham on your Chardham tour package, Badrinath. Before receiving darshan at the Badrinath Temple, which is devoted to Lord Vishnu, take a religious bath in Tapt Kund upon arrival. Go to the heavenly Aarti in the evening. Spend the night in Badrinath.
After morning darshan, visit nearby attractions such as Mana Village (India’s last village), Vyas Gufa, and Bhim Pul. Later, drive to Rudraprayag, famous for the confluence of the Alaknanda and Mandakini rivers. Overnight stay in Rudraprayag.
Your spiritual Chardham yatra trip concludes as you drive back to Haridwar or Rishikesh. Carry back divine blessings from Yamunotri, Gangotri, Kedarnath, and Badrinath, along with unforgettable memories of Uttarakhand’s Himalayas.
