  • By Road: Both Sikkim and Darjeeling are accessible by scenic drives from Siliguri, NJP, and Bagdogra with taxis and shared jeeps available.
  • By Train: New Jalpaiguri (NJP) is the closest railway station, well-connected to cities like Delhi, Guwahati, and Kolkata.
  • Best Time to Visit:
    March to June Ideal for sightseeing, tea garden visits, and pleasant weather.
    September to November Crystal clear views of Mt. Kanchenjunga and perfect for photography.
    December to February Winter charm with chances of snowfall in higher regions.

Day-Wise Itinerary

Arriving at Bagdogra Airport (IXB) or New Jalpaiguri (NJP) Railway Station marks the start of your Sikkim vacation. On the route to Gangtok, the quaint capital of Sikkim,take in the breathtaking scenery as you travel through verdant valleys, winding mountain roads, and glittering rivers. After checking into your accommodation, spend the evening relaxing or exploring MG Marg. Spend the night in Gangtok

Start your Gangtok sightseeing tour by visiting some of the most well-known sites in the city. See the Do Drul Chorten Stupa, the Namgyal Institute of Tibetology with its rare Buddhist texts, the Tashi View Point for expansive mountain views, and Rumtek Monastery, one of Sikkim's largest. Enjoy local specialities and shopping along MG Marg in the evening. Spend the night in Gangtok.

After breakfast, go on a thrilling journey to 12.400-foot Tsomgo Lake, a glacier lake renowned for its seasonal colour changes. See the respected Baba Harbhajan Singh Mandir next, which is regarded as such by both soldiers and villagers. An essential part of any Sikkim travel package, a visit to the Indo-China border's Nathula Pass is also possible for those with permission. Head back to Gangtok for the night.

Check out on the fourth day of your trip and travel towards the "Queen of the Hills," Darjeeling. Along the trip, there are beautiful villages, tea gardens, and stunning scenery. When you get there, check into your hotel. Explore Mall Road in the evening, enjoy some Darjeeling tea, or unwind at a quaint café. Stay in Darjeeling for the night.

Get up early to see one of the most amazing views of your journey to the Darjeelings: the dawn at Tiger Hill, where, on clear days, the golden rays illuminate Mt. Kanchenjunga and even Mt. Everest. Make stops at the stunning Batasia Loop and the Ghoom Monastery on the way back. Visit the Tibetan Refugee Centre, Padmaja Naidu Himalayan Zoological Park, Himalayan Mountaineering Institute, and the renowned Darjeeling Tea Gardens later in the day to sample freshly brewed tea.

Day 6 is for a mix of sightseeing and relaxation. Start with a visit to the Peace Pagoda, Japanese Temple, and the Rock Garden. For a unique experience, take a ride on the Darjeeling Himalayan Railway (Toy Train), a UNESCO World Heritage Site that winds through scenic tea plantations and villages. Evening is free for shopping souvenirs or enjoying local cuisine. Overnight stay in Darjeeling.

After your final Darjeeling breakfast, depart from the hotel and head back to the NJP Railway Station or Bagdogra Airport to continue your journey.
